Dr S Siddharth is the Secretary, Department of Industries, Bihar cum Chief Executive Officer, Bihar Foundation. He has held various responsible positions both in the Government of India and the State Government. Dr S Siddharth did his B Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi and holds a Masters Degree in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He also did his PhD in Information Technology from IIT Delhi. Prior to this posting he has served as Secretary to Chief Minister, Bihar and Secretary of Urban and Housing Development Department, Rural Works Department and Labour Resources Department, Bihar. |

Dr. Prabhat Ranjan has taken over as Executive Director of TIFAC, effective from April 25, 2013. Dr Ranjan's schooling was in Netarhat School, located near Ranchi, followed by graduation at IIT Kharagpur and masters from Delhi University. Subsequently he received his PhD degree from University of California, Berkeley based on his research related to nuclear fusion at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory during 1983-86. He was a recipient of National Science Talent Search award in 1976. Immediately after his doctorate, he returned to India to participate in the Nuclear Fusion Program of the country that was nascent then. He continued his research at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta and Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar, making a major contribution to this area by bringing tokamaks (experimental nuclear fusion reactors) to international standards of operation. He was project leader of Aditya Tokamak and SST-1 Tokamak Operation and Control Group till 2002. |

Dr. Prashant Jha is a physician-engineer-entrepreneur-editor with over fifteen years of trans-disciplinary experience in patient care, training physicians, inventing medical technologies, training med-tech leaders and creating an ecosystem for innovating medical devices and technologies in Australia, Finland, India, Japan, UK and USA. He serves as the Fellowship Director of Medical Device Innovation Program at AIIMS and IIT Delhi, which is a Department of Biotechnology, Government of India's flagship program. There he co-founded the innovation Fellowship and trains physicians, engineers, designers and entrepreneurs in the art and science of innovating and commercialising low-cost, high-impact medical devices. He also serves a visiting professor in several Medical, Engineering and Business Schools in India, Australia, Finland, Japan, UK and USA. Prashant is the co-founder and editor of BMJ Innovations, world’s first general medical journal on innovations in healthcare. He also serves as Senior Editor in South Asia for The BMJ, where he leads the editorial for BMJ South Asia Awards and covers news, views, policy affairs and analysis for healthcare in the South Asian region. He also serves as an advisor to various Medical Device Corporations, Design Studios, NGOs and MedTech StartUps. |
